Safer Internet Day

On 11th February 2025, an awareness programme on Safer Internet Day was organized by the Department of Education, Ramgarh District. The event aimed to educate students about the responsible use of the internet, online safety, and cybersecurity awareness. A total of 25 students from DAV Rajrappa actively participated in the programme, contributing to its success. The event was graced by the presence of Shri Chandan Kumar, Deputy Commissioner-cum- District Magistrate, and Shri Ajay Kumar (IPS), Superintendent of Police, Ramgarh District, who delivered insightful speeches on the importance of internet safety and the responsible use of digital platforms. They emphasized the risks associated with cyber threats, cyberbullying, and misinformation while encouraging students to be vigilant and responsible digital citizens.
Personnel from the Education Department conducted a presentation highlighting various aspects of online security, including safe browsing practices, privacy settings, and recognizing online fraud. The session was informative and interactive, allowing students to engage in discussions and gain practical knowledge about securing their digital presence.
Dharmesh Pandey, IT Teacher of DAV Rajrappa, also presented on the topic, sharing valuable insights on cybersecurity measures and best practices for staying safe online. His presentation was well-received and provided students with essential knowledge on maintaining digital hygiene.
A key highlight of the programme was a short role play performed by the students of DAV Rajrappa, which creatively depicted real-life scenarios related to cyber safety. The engaging performance helped raise awareness among the attendees and reinforced the message of safe internet usage in an impactful manner.
